The Silent Children (DI Robyn Carter #4)
by Carol Wyer

This series just keeps getting better with every book, I am hooked and can’t wait for the next book to be released. March 2018 is so far away.

We start the book with a young child finding a man dead in a car.  Next a woman is found in dead at the bottom of her staircase. Are these two deaths connected? When a third body is found this confirms Robyn’s fears that these deaths are all connected and she is out to find the killer before they strike again.

We learn a lot more about DI Robyn Carter throughout this book, with flashbacks into her past. The plot of the book is very enjoyable and keeps you just reading, I kept saying just one more chapter and I will put the book down but that never happened, it was more like 6 more chapters before I put it down or fell asleep reading it.

Book 3 left us with a cliff-hanger which I was so waiting for the answer to this in this book but Carol has done it again and still has not answered the cliff-hanger. There was a little more detail added through the book but she has still left us wanting to know. I hope the next book will finally answer our questions. Carol is making sure that her readers will continue to grab the next book. Smart woman.

If you are a lover of police procedurals/thrillers then this series is for you. I suggest if you haven’t started this series yet then start at the beginning so you can get a real understanding for the characters. You can read this as a standalone but I can guarantee you will want to read the rest as soon as you finish this one.

Another pager turning book that I would highly recommend.

Thank you to Netgalley and Bookoutre for this ARC in exchange for an open and honest review.
