Behind the Badge
by Shelley Wade

This debut novel by Shelley is extremely well written and has a great storyline. The two things that you want in a novel. I was hooked from the beginning and I found that I wanted to keep reading into the early hours. It is a page-turner that you just won’t to put down.

You are in for a roller-coaster of a ride with this novel. It is a fast paced, action packed romantic novel. You are going to be saying ‘OMG’ more than once.

Jackson Taylor is director of the Los Angeles branch of the FBI. Ashley Haven is his second in command. These two characters are the heart of the story. More of their lives are revealed as we get further through the story.

It all starts with a mission that has gone wrong and Jackson is held hostage. Ashley takes charge to rescue him. It is after this mission that their true feelings for each other come out.

Ashley is a character that you will easily relate to her. You will feel every emotion with her, throughout the story.  She is brave and strong and has a never give up attitude.

Jackson has a heart of gold, that he wears on his sleeve. He is an intelligent, passionate agent. He will do what it takes to protect his agents and also his family.

There are times in this book where you will find yourself having a little giggle and times where you will be biting your nails. This book has it all and so much more. There are so many twists and turns in this story, it that will have you on the edge of your seat.

I am not going to spoil this book for you. If you want to know what happens with Jackson and Ashley, you are going to have to go out and buy it. Believe me it is definitely worthwhile.

I do hope that this is not the last we see of Jackson and Ashley.

I highly recommend this book.

Thank you, Shelley Wade, for this copy in exchange for an open and honest review.
