In Self Defense
(A Winchester, Tennessee Thriller #1)
by Debra Webb
When a tireless newswoman becomes the story…
she could lose everything—starting with the family business.
To get the scoop on two grisly murders, newspaper publisher Audrey Anderson needs help from Winchester sheriff Colton Tanner—the gorgeous cowboy who betrayed their teenage love. But Audrey fears that finding the killer will mean exposing the family secret she desperately needs to stay buried. She’ll do whatever she has to in order to protect those she loves. No matter what happens…or how hot things get with Colt.
This one will keep you guessing until the very end.
Audrey Anderson moves back to Winchester to take over the family newspaper in Winchester, and care for her mother who’s suffering from dementia. When two murders take place in her hometown, she will stop at nothing to uncover the truth. Audrey finds herself working together with the county Sheriff, Colton Tanner, who happens to be her former boyfriend and love of her life. But he broke her heart, can she forgive him? And can they work together to solve the mystery?
This is another fantastic romantic/suspense read by Debra Webb. It is a fast and enjoyable read, that you can read in a day. The story line kept me turning the pages until the end.
I am excited as it even includes an appearance of the undertaker family of DuPonts, featured in her new series coming later this year and in her already released prequel, THE UNDERTAKER’S DAUGHTER.
See you in the next chapter
